One of the rarest BMW’s ever produced, only 453 M1’s were built! (54 Pro Cars / 399 Street Cars). The E26 M1 has the Paul Roche designed M88 3.5 liter 6-cylinder engine that develops 277 HP. This hand built vehicle was the first mid-engine BMW to be mass produced. This specific example has a great history with several prominent owners in the BMW community. The first owner is believed to be a very well-known car collector in the fashion industry. The subsequent owners carry provenance including Bobby Rahal who sourced the car from Gordon Medenica, founder of the M1 registry and first President of the BMWCCA. Archie Uricelli, a well-known collector, vintage race car driver and former chairman of Merrill Lynch International. EAG acquired the vehicle 5 years ago and have enjoyed it at BMW Club events + outings. This M1 is well-documented from Gordon Medenica’s 1996 ownership to current.
