The detailing team from Enthusiast Auto Group had the exciting opportunity to head down to Cumming, Georgia, and see our friends at Gtechniq. But this was more than just a social visit; we were lucky to be the first group trained in Gtechniq’s new 4,800-square-foot facility to learn about the massive advances that have taken place in the detailing space over the last 10 years. While Gtechniq taught us about their cutting-edge ceramic coatings, one of the country’s foremost paint correction experts- Todd Helme from Rupes- spent two days broadening our knowledge on polishing and perfecting paintwork.

But this was more than just a social visit; we were lucky to be the first group trained in Gtechniq’s new 4,800-square-foot facility to learn about the massive advances that have taken place in the detailing space over the last 10 years. While Gtechniq taught us about their cutting-edge ceramic coatings, one of the country’s foremost paint correction experts- Todd Helme from Rupes- spent two days broadening our knowledge on polishing and perfecting paintwork.
Our first two days were spent learning from Todd Helme and Rupes, with day one focusing on wet sanding and body shop techniques. On the second day, we expanded our knowledge of paint correction and the massive advancements in machines, pads, and polishing liquids that have been made in recent years. The final day had us learning from the Gtechniq crew about their Ceramic Coatings and how to prepare cars to accept these fascinating products. This culminated in EAG receiving Accredited Installer status for the Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra line of coatings, which we will be offering clients soon.
As an aside, to make us feel at home, the guys at Gtechniq brought out a pair of very special BMW M cars for us to learn on- a 1 of 1 Individual E90 M3 in Atacama Yellow and a 1 of 24 for the US Z3 M Coupe in Evergreen with a black and Evergreen interior.
