EAG Open House 2024
Anybody who has planned a big event knows that there are always variables that just can’t be accounted for. Be it the number of people who are going to show up, if that new vendor will actually do what they said, or the worst of all… the weather. We started planning our open house months in advance, getting a killer assortment of cars together from our friends in the area, setting up some of our newly refurbished buildings for guests and organizing food trucks. We thought we had everything covered.
But what we didn’t plan for was a hurricane. Massive amounts of rain leading up to the event forced us inside and we needed to do some serious shuffling so people could hang out where it was dry. We were quite apprehensive about if people would even show up the morning of.
But we are happy to say that the rain did not deter enthusiasts from participating in EAG’s largest-ever open house event! It was incredible to see familiar faces, and vehicles and the younger generation appreciating BMW’s Classic and Motorsport History. As we look back through the photos, we are already getting excited about next year’s event, but wanted to give our friends who weren’t able to join a chance to see what we got up to!
If you were driving by EAG, there was no questions that something special was occurring - with a Batmobile E9 3.0 CSL leading the way and the profile of a red E26 M1 looming behind it.
If you look at our inventory along with our personal cars, it’s no secret that we love blue BMWs - especially when they are from the Individual program. To show off the brand’s impressive selection of blues from across decades, we had a lineup of E92 M3s - all in Individual colors. Starting with Interlagos, there were also cars in Atlantis, Santorini, and Estoril blue on display which was quite a sight to behold.
But of course, being us, we couldn’t stop with just the blue display, we also had a few variations of BMW’s stunning Dakar Yellow. The trio included an E39 M5 with a whopping 700 miles, an E31 850 CSI imported from western Europe, and a very cool E36/7 Z3M Roadster with a color match hardtop which were also produced through the Individual program.
As a centerpiece for the event, we arranged a carousel of the most special variants of the M3 ever produced by BMW Motorsport. As most of these cars were never offered for sale in the United States, it was no small task getting them all together, but what a sight when they were all lined up.
Turning the corner, things just kept getting better as you were then met with a pair of Signal Green M3s. We must admit, it’s pretty wild to see a very rare 6-speed Signal Green F80 M3 parked next to a new Signal Green G80 CS.” And as if that’s not enough, we made sure to display the fan favorite Fashion Red E36 press car next to both of them.
Once you had your fill of Skittles, it was time to go back to the start and see the roots of BMW Motorsport.
The cult-classic E10 2002 was represented by a stunning 1974 tii in Colorado Orange, which was parked next to our white 2002 Turbo. In keeping with the 1970s, we then moved on to the E9 chassis, which was represented by a stunning trio of cars. We had the two ultimate road-going variants: a 3.0 CSi and a 3.0 CSL, which are both stunning cars in their own right, but when seen next to an ex-BMW Works Group 2 3.0-Liter CSL race car, it’s hard to concentrate on anything else
We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our friends and clients who were kind enough to lend us cars for this special day and even as the day approached, weren’t scared away by the rain.
And on that same note, thank you to everyone who came out to see the cars and hang out for the day - even with the constraints of the weather, the support from our community was overwhelming and so nice to see. If you couldn’t join us for this event, hopefully, the pictures convince you that next year, it will be an event you don’t want to miss!
