Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT is the third oldest continuously operating race track in the United States. Nestled at the foot of the Berkshire Mountains, it is well known for its lush green surroundings and compact layout giving spectators an outstanding view of all the action. In 2013, as BMW’s E90 series M3 was nearing the end of production, BMW produced 200 special cars to honor the famed track. All 200 were painted the same, outrageous Fire Orange paint- a color not available on other M3s, and were fitted with a host of unique options.

This Lime Rock Park Edition M3 is no stranger to Enthusiast Auto Group, returning for its second visit to our showroom. A true collector-grade example, this M3 comes to us from a repeat EAG customer and is in original condition throughout. Delivered new to Kelly BMW in Columbus, OH, this M3 shows just 6,171 miles at the time of cataloging and has spent its life stored in climate-controlled garages, always avoiding inclement weather.

It's also received any and all services throughout its life ensuring preservation and enjoyment to however holds the keys. The 1,200 mile service was completed on time and then its annual oil service completed at 5,183 miles. When the vehicle arrived in 08/2021 we updated the battery and fitted it with fresh Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Subsequently when it arrived back with 6,168 miles we once again performed all time based services including oil service, brake fluid flush and microfilter replacement.

The signature Fire Orange paint around the car remains essentially flawless thanks to a full body wrap in clear paint protection film applied when the car was new. The 19” Y-Spoke Competition Pack wheels appear blemish-free as are the Lime Rock Park-specific carbon fiber front splitter and rear decklid spoiler. One of the many special features fitted to the

Lime Rock Park Edition car is equipped with a lightweight Inconel Titanium exhaust system that adds an enhanced note throughout the rev-range without compromise in regards to daily driving while dropping weight more than 20 lbs over the stock system.

Although the Lime Rock Park Edition was built as a track-focused M3, BMW made sure not to get rid of the luxury features that make these cars the ultimate do-anything sports car. Black Novillo leather covers the seats, door cards, and center console, and the Premium Package fits the car with convenience features like Comfort Access, Navigation and Park Distance Control. That being said, there are a few unique bits featured in the Lime Rock’s interior- an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with a blue band at 12 o’clock and in the center console, a placard denoting this as “One of 200” with a track map of the famed track the car draws its name from.

Under the hood sits BMW’s legendary S65 V8, producing 414 horsepower and revving all the way to 8,400 rpm. As the final naturally aspirated M engine from BMW, they certainly did make a statement with 8 individual throttle bodies making the iconic analog snarl and VANOS variable valve timing on the intake and exhaust cams provides enjoyment from idle to redline. This jewel of a motor is paired to a 7-speed DCT gearbox in this example, which offers lightning-fast shifts on track and is easy to use in town.

The Lime Rock Park Edition will forever be a special car in BMW history- standing as one of the few special edition M cars aimed at North American enthusiasts and based on what many consider to be the pinnacle of the M3 lineage. With only 200 in the world, you will be hard-pressed to find a better preserved example than this car.
