The E9X series (E90 sedan, E91 wagon, E92 coupe, E93 convertible) continued BMW's tradition of evolutionary design for the 3-Series. This generation saw increased globalization of BMW's lineup, with U.S. models more closely matching their European counterparts in terms of available engines and features. The E92 M3, powered by a high-revving V8, was virtually identical in both markets, marking a significant milestone for American BMW enthusiasts who had long envied European-spec models.
Overview
Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT is the third oldest continuously operating race track in the United States. Nestled at the foot of the Berkshire Mountains, it is well known for its lush green surroundings and compact layout giving spectators an outstanding view of all the action. In 2013, as BMW’s E90 series M3 was nearing the end of production, BMW produced 200 special cars to honor the famed track. All 200 were painted the same, outrageous Fire Orange paint- a color not available on other M3s, and were fitted with a host of unique options.
Although the Lime Rock Park Edition was built as a track-focused M3, BMW made sure not to get rid of the luxury features that make these cars the ultimate do-anything sports car. Black Novillo leather covers the seats, door cards, and center console, and the Premium Package fits the car with convenience features like Comfort Access, Navigation and Park Distance Control. That being said, there are a few unique bits featured in the Lime Rock’s interior- an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with a blue band at 12 o’clock and in the center console, a placard denoting this as “One of 200” with a track map of the famed track the car draws its name from.
The Lime Rock Park Edition will forever be a special car in BMW history- standing as one of the few special edition M cars aimed at North American enthusiasts and based on what many consider to be the pinnacle of the M3 lineage. With only 200 in the world, you will be hard-pressed to find a better preserved example than this car.
History
This is a multiple repeat client and true EAG Heritage vehicle! Owned previously by very prominent clients and now upgraded with the enthusiast mindset.
EAG acquired this special edition M3 from the 1st owner in Arkansas in 2018 when it had just over 6K miles. We placed this special car with the 2013 ST Class IMSA Racing Champion to enjoyed as a fun weekend collectable car. Fun Fact: the previous owner claimed the 2013 championship at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut, hence his strong connection with this special edition model which celebrates BMWs relationship with this hallowed race circuit.
EAG then placed this LRPE with a longtime client and friend on 6/2021 @ 6,642 miles when the car was still in stock form. He commissioned EAG to perform the following upgrades: Eventuri Full Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake System with Plenum, Eisennman “15 Jahre” Limted Edition Mufflers w/ only 25 sets produced, Dinan High Performance Racing Middle Engine Software, Dinan Performance DCT Transmission Software, RKP Center Exhaust X-pipe, Brand New E92 Competition Wheels w/ new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, KW HAS Coilover Spring Kit, Dinan Front Camber Plates, Wheel Spacers, Complete Blackout Kit with Kidney Grills, Side Gills, Hood Vents + ///M3 Badge, ///M3 GTS Competition Door Sills and Limited Edition Red Start/Stop and MDM Buttons. Shortly after delivery, the owner had these additional upgrades professionally installed: Brembo GT Kit 6-Piston 380mm Front + Rear Brakes w/ Calipers finished in Fire Orange, Carbon Fiber Front Lip + Side Skirts, BayOptics Complete DTM Lighting Retrofit Kit, Dinan Front Strut Tower Braces, M Performance Steering Wheel with Orange Stripe, IND Paddle Shift Levers, Full Paint Correction, Copious amounts of Xpel Clear Bra Paint Protection Film Application + Ceramic Coating.
The condition of this #1 condition E92 M3 is impeccable! The exterior is all original paint that has an awesome finish with no significant flaws or imperfections. Tons of Xpel Clear Bra Paint Protection Film (PPF) has been applied to the following areas: Front Bumper, Full Hood + Fenders, Mirror Caps, A-Pillars, Roof, Side Skirts and Rear Quarter Panels. The interior is like new with supple leather that still has the original matte finish, clean carpets and no visible wear areas. It has resided in a climate controlled garage since new, therefore, never seen inclement weather conditions. This vehicle has always received proper care and vigilance! Flawless body and undercarriage with no issues or complaints!
Properly cared-for since new with the 1,200 mile break-in service complete and 4 low-mileage engine oil services performed. This is now this M3’s 3rd lap through EAG's Rejuvenation Program within the last 1,000 miles! It passes all every single one of our inspections with flying colors.
